The Hanger Free House

Under our new ownership since June 2022 we are delighted to have purchased The Hanger Freehouse and look forward to settling into our new home.

When approached to purchase The Hanger it was an easy yes! Stunning village and surroundings, with so much potential to create a destination dining reputation while also bringing the pub back into the centre of the village community.

We both have over 20 years experience in hospitality across London, Bath and Hampshire. Running some of Hampshire's finest pubs such as The Thomas Lord in West Meon.

So what are our plans for The Hanger?

We will focus on seasonal menus, changing regularly for our dining room. Championing the best in local & British suppliers and focusing largely on sustainability throughout the business.

We want to return the bar to being a welcoming, cosy pub area with extensive wine list, local ales and seasonal cocktail menu. Also encouraging regular events such as live music and pub quizzes.
